1 Corinthians 13:8-13 In the house of the Lord there is a lot of immaturity. A time will come when our eyes will be open and we will be complete. We see things in a mirror dimly. When you take a hot shower, the mirror becomes dim because of the steam. Paul says there are things we dont see well. But a time to see well is coming, when we will know how God knows us. We will stand face to face with Christ and see him in his glory. God knows us that we cant hide anything from Him. Since you got saved until until our completion, there is a progress you have to undergo. Paul says when you are born, you require milk, then solid food then bones. However some Christians get saved and remain taking milk. You must progress. Before maturity, you have to undergo a certain process: Psal 34:7 They go from strength to strength each one appears before God You dont get saved and get to Zion immediately. You must grow or progress Proverbs 4;18 The path of the just is like shinning sun, that shines brighter unto the perfect day As the sun comes out in the morning, it becomes hotter and hotter. This is the way of Christians. You cant say you have been falling and waking up, you must grow even to teach others. This shows you are a growth person. Dont be like grown ups who still take milk. 1 Tim 4:15 Meditate on these things. give yourself entirely to them that your progress may be evident to all. Dont just be a church goer, think about what you have been taught and your progress will be evident to all. Dont be like a dwarf. There are children who under develop, this shows there is a problem with the child. As a christian, the things you used to do when you go saved are the same the things you are doing today, then there is a problem. People must see change 1 Cor 13;8 Love never fails but where there are prophesies, language, tongues they will vanish God gives different people different gifts. If God has blessed you with a gift, let it be to edify the body of Christ. But remember these gifts have expiry date, when we are complete standing face to face with Christ. We will know how well Christ knows us. You will not need anything, not even tongues, money, knowledge. for you will have competed everything and we will see the glory of Christ. prophesy, miracles will not be necessary. for our bodies will be transferred to immortality. The gifts are for the church and they must be used to edify the church for afterwards we will not need them We will realize that our diversity was for the glory of God and to edify the body of christ. 1 Cr 13:11 When I was a child i understood, though as a child, but when i became a man, i put away all childish things As Christians we grow from immaturity to maturity. Children speak childish language. We may think things are passing but it is us drawing closer to meeting Christ face to face We can no longer reason as children. For children are basically: 1. Are selfish They always have a tendency of being greedy selfish. This is how most christians are 2 Tim 3;2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of men, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, un-thankfuk, unholy Help them to grow. 2. Children have tantrums They become violent when they dont get what they want. Some christians throw tantrums when someone does something to them. Grow up Ephe 4;31be put away from you, with all malice. Dont allow the fruit of bitterness fill your heat,Move on to be mature James 4:1 Where do wars ad fights comes from among you?Do not they come from your desires for pleasure that war in your members. 3. Children lack discernment. The child does not know the future Many Christians are this way. When hes blessed he de-links himself. A mature person meditates on things James 4:4 Being friends with the world makes you a enemy of God Ephe 5;15-17 See then that you walk circumspectly , not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time because the days are evil. Therefore unwise but understand what the will of the Lord is Be a wise person 1 Cor 1:14-20 Brethren do not be children in understanding, however in malice be babies but in understanding be mature be babies in malice, be mature in understanding Heb 5:14 Solid food is for mature people Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor and evil speaking Put aside every childish thing so that we can mature up and be able to interpret these things. We will achieve maturity in Christ Jesus (Ephe4;13-15) Speak truth in love. WE MUST GROW UP

1 kings 18:21-22 God's call to personal commitment

God wants you as a person to commit yourself to Him. For you to know who you are serving, who you are accountable to. Ahead of us, in committing ourselves to the Lord, there are blessings During the time of Elijah, there was a king in Israel called Ahab, the worst king. He married Jezebel, a non jew who came with her idols. She influenced Ahab, became so wicked, introducing idolatry. God hates idolatry. He is a jealousy God, He does not share His glory with anyone. Anything in our lives that makes us divide our allegiance to God, he is a consuming fire who will punish anyone involved God judged Israel, speaking through Elijah and saying there would be no rain . There was famine, drought, lacking things. They ended up eating dropping of doves and heads of donkey. They even ate children. God indeed judged Israel . When the famine period was coming to an end, Ahab called Obadiah and asked him to search for grass, as he did the same to bring to animals. While on his way, Obadiah met with Elijah. He told him that Ahab was searching for him. Elijah however asked Obadiah to tell the king that he wanted to see him. However Obadiah decline saying he was endangering his life if he wont be found. Elijah assured him that he would meet the king. Meeting at Mt. Carmel, the false prophets could not bring up the fire. We are the nation of God and there is a declaration that has been made. False prophets may have prophesied in your life..... Elijah asked the nation to choose who to follow, whether the Lord or baal. The people were completely silent We need to make a decision whether it is the Lord our God, family, money, business to. Do not make any idol for yourself. Choose who to follow. God does not fight for your obedience, you have to choose. We need to understand that God does not fight for His glory, choose whether its God or baal. Its time for us to take responsibility for our future. Who will you follow? God (Rev 3:8) has put open days for us, no one can shut. But when He opens, it is your responsibility to arise and walk through the door. he will not carry you. the devil cheats you that he will carry you through. Once you go through, he leaves you there. Many of us enjoy our environment, we are used to our circumstances or situations. When you feel pain, you get used to it. You take medication till you start saying you cant do without them. Some people, when told they will go to hell and there is fire, they think they will get used to it. God is not man, the fire in hell was not lit by man but by God. With God nothing repeats itself. For there is nothing new . everything is a repeat. Above heaven, nothing repeats itself. The glory of God does not repeat itself. We take things easy, waiting for God to do everything for us. We behave like infants who wait to be fed. God enables you, He does not do it for you. Some people wait for God to open doors for them and carry them through. Take a position, don't be busy doing your own things. have commitment to your God. Take courage to make decisions that determine who we become. It is our responsibility to take up opportunities God gives us. You cant follow someone you don't pledge allegiance to. The Israelite s endured three and half years of famine, and the absence of the presence of God. From the moment Elijah made the announcement, he disappeared and that's why Ahab searched for him . Elijah finally came out and meets with the wicked king. At mount Carmel, Elijah asked the people to choose who God was in Israel. Though there were other 100 prophets Obadiah had hidden, Elijah was the only one out in the open declaring the true God. He stood and said God and him were the majority. When Elijah called on God, fire came down, the people worshiped God knowing He is the Lord Today god is asking you to make a declaration whether the things of the world are your god or God is the lord. Afterwards, Elijah sent his servant to go check on the rain until the seventh time. Many people can give up even before the fifth time. Elijah knew His God. Elijah asked Ahab to run for the rain was coming. Elijah however overtook Ahab after God gave him special ability. He stopped at the entrance.There was abundance of rain. rain represents blessings. Israel had abundance Take a stand for God for there is abundance of rain. Prepare for the best. Christianity is a risky business, not for weaklings, indecisive people, You must be ready for ridicule, rejection, . Jesus said is you cant deny yourself, you have no part in me. Christianity is free but not cheap. You will dye for Christianity. There are countries you cant declare openly about your Christianity or even carry a bible. It is for people who make decisions and stand by them. Its for tough people, strong decision makers, only over-comers will make it to heaven. You must endure to the end. Be committed to God and commit yourself to that commitment. You must not be swayed by anything. Christianity is for people who know their God (Daniel 11:32.) God will give you ability to do exploits because you know your God Christianity cost God His son, Cost Jesus his life. It takes a man of character to make a decision and stand by it- integrity, whether death or live, you stand by your decision. Make up your mind today. dont be a lukewarm person. If you cant make a decision and stand by it, you are no where in the list of God. God supports you to stand but He doesnt do it for you. Its a personal decision. Jesus told the disciples, since the time of john the baptized, the kingdom of God suffereth violence and the violent shall take it by force, not passive but decide to take a route God gives you. As long as you are sure God is with you, keep going even if you are alone. Make a decision. Who is your God? wife, wealth, business?? Make a decision today. If God be God serve Him. Stop being in between. There is no place for lukewarm people, you must make a stand

When we dont plant, when harvest time comes, we dont expect to harvest. If you steal from your neighbor's it leads to your death. It is sad that children of God expect to harvest where they do not plant. Therefore do not be deceived for you will reap what you saw. It is sad for Christians to hate one another. If we plant the seed of hatred we will reap the same. Choose to sow what brings blessings that come from our God who is our Daddy So who is your Daddy? He is our God, provider, comforter, we are all His children What you plant should please God. But what does He expect of us? We should know that we belong to God because we are His children and He is our Father, creator of all, beginning and the end, created everything that exists. He is our protector and manages all our time. He controls everything He gives us. We will be connected to Him and we will do His will.c Leaders can ignore Him, because He is the greatest leader. Herod couldn't kill Him. He had to wash his hands for not finding any fault. New age cannot replace Him. God is the creator. No Opera can explain Him. Even your training cannot explain Him, God is love, He holds our lives. Hes long suffering, He is good, Holy, kind, powerful and pure and powerful. His ways are right and His word is eternal. He is our joy, peace, comfort, and rules our lives He rules our lives, His yoke is easy, has given us His abundance life that we enjoy. He heals us and we rejoice in him. When His yoke is easy then our burden becomes lighter Give to God all burdens you are carrying . He has given us life that is burden free . Unfortunately some people don't enjoy a positive life, they live a negative life. Learn to say i can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. The same God that worked miracles with the disciples is the same one today. We need to rise and get our blessings He is the power of powerful, Ancient of days, ruler of rules, leader of all leaders. Is your Father with all qualities God has a relation with us and therefore there's nothing impossible to those who believe He never misleads nor forget, never overlook, nor cancel your appointment with him. Our earthly fathers promise us alot but may not fulfill. Our Father in heaven does exceedingly abundantly Many times we miss our blessings because we do not meet our appointments with Him. he will always strengthen you when you are hurting. he is our great physician, even if you are going through a hard time When you are broken, He mends us, however we perish because of ignorance despite having our manual which is the bible . You cannot sail through the day without the manual. The devil works to disconnect you claiming to be your father unless you know who he is, you will be confused. Connect yourself to your Father in heaven so that all is well with you When you are hungry he feeds you, blind He leads you, through trials He is with you. Satan always asks for permission to test you but you must stand and be firm like Job then we can overcome. Remember when you die, you will see your Daddy if your connected to Him on earth Know who your Daddy is so that when you seem to be having challenges, you know whether to run to
